4th Quarter

4th quarter, if you know anything about the music business then you know 4th quarter is when the big dogs drop their albums. This years fourth quarter though seems a little bit lackluster. Many of the albums that people (like myself) were getting hyped on got their wig pushed back. Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Dr. Dre and Busta Rhymes. Even though many of the acts i was looking forward to didn't come out, their are more than a few notables that were released that you should check out. The first is the Eclectic rap duo The Knux. They are brothers from New Orleans that ended up in Hollywood after the tragedy that was Katrina occurred. Their Debut album titled ...Remind Me In 3 Days is one of the dopest, if not the dopest Hip-Hip albums I have heard this year. It is very reminiscent of Outkast in its genre-bending sound, but they do not sound like biters.. If i can recommend one album you purchase this year, I think this would be it.

For a sample of there song click here

Another Great 4th quarter drop was the underrated and under-marketed Theater of the Mind from Ludacris. I Think this is probably his best work since word of mouf. It is definitely a must to check this one out.

Then you got Kanye, who got plenty of publicity and hate for his departure from what is considered "hip-hop" to make a cd of him singing in autotune. I love it, it is a great album and I like the departure from his traditional sound, my only hope is that with his next album he goes back to the "college dropout" Kanye instead of the "Graduated" Kanye.

Next..
A cd Kanye executive produced that I am sure almost none of you have heard of. 88 Keys with his debut album titled "The Death Of Adam" it is a concept album
The album tells the story of an investigation surrounding the death of a man named Adam who was murdered in his Harlem loft apartment. During a recent interview in regards to the album's concept 88' stated:
“ The entire album is about the power of the punani, if you will. The album follows the story line of my man Adam who passed away and basically how he died. It all started off with him catching a boner one morning, morning wood, and his life starts to spin out of control from there.[1] ”
The story is told instrumentally, while the featured artists help get the story across. 88' has described that his inspiration for the project derived from the thought, "What gives me pleasure?" His obvious answer being pussy...
“ I thought, “What gives me pleasure?” So I thought, Polo clothes, blue label of course, give me pleasure, when I’m out coppin’. Making beats bring me pleasure. Money. I’m like, “Boom! I know what gives me pleasure! Pussy!” So as soon as that thought came into my head, I’m like, “Okay. I’m scrapping all the other beats I had made for my album so far, and I’m starting with this one. This is the first beat for my album.” And I just stayed on it.[2]

Random Acts of Retardedness 9/29

FOUNTAIN (AP) -- A Colorado teenager hired men to kill his mother so he could use her money to get breast implants for his girlfriend, police said.

Nikita Lee Weis, 18, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, said Fountain Deputy Police Chief Mike Barnett.

His girlfriend, Sophia Nicole Alsept, and two men police said he hired, Juan Antonio Velez Gonzalez, 18, and Brandon Michael Soroka, 19, were arrested on the same charge.

Weis' mother, Hyun Weis, was attacked Thursday with a small wooden baseball bat at her home but escaped, authorities said. She was released Friday from a hospital.

Barnett said Weis wanted to sell his mother's car and use money in her bank accounts to pay for breast implants for Alsept, 21.

Barnett also said the suspects discussed wrapping Hyun Weis' body in plastic and dumping it in the desert in New Mexico or Arizona.

All were being held on $50,000 bail. Officials did not know whether they had attorneys and said they couldn't get messages to them.

Fountain is about 10 miles south of Colorado Springs.

Before I Self Destruct

Multi-platinum selling rapper 50 Cent will make his directorial debut in the upcoming film Before I Self-Destruct, set to hit theaters this winter.

According to Rolling Stone, Fif will be in complete control of the movie, tagged with the same title as his forthcoming album, but he has no intention of making it music-based like Jay-Z’s Streets Is Watching or Prince's Purple Rain .

“It’s not Purple Rain,” he told Rolling Stone. “But it was inspired by the actual music.”

Unlike his 2005 autobiographical-based film Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ 50’s goal with the project is to give viewers a more direct and understanding look at urban lifestyles.

“When [movies] portray certain lifestyles they don’t show cause and effect,” he explained. “But I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were. There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated — for not seeing them in the first place.”

Similar to his first theatrical release, no tracks from the album, Before I Self-Destruct, will be featured on the soundtrack. However, this strategy was based on recruiting a roster of unsigned artists and creating a separate score to keep his label from being involved.

“[If not,] then Interscope would automatically have the rights to it, when they had absolutely no ownership of the actual material,” he added. “I kept the music up to standards. I worked with it until it was right.”

50's Before I Self-Destruct album and film are both slated for release on December 9.

Christmas is arriving early

After originally being scheduled for a December 16th release date, hip-hop superstar Kanye West is now planning to drop his highly anticipated fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak a month early.

“I changed my album to November something cause I finished the album and I felt like it,” the rapper revealed today (September 24) on his personal blog. “I want yall to hear it as soon as possible.”

This decision squashes any rumors that West would be having a SoundScan rematch with 50 Cent, whose fourth LP, Before I Self-Destruct, was slated to be released a week before 808s & Heartbreak on December 9th.

Last year 50’s album Curtis dropped on the same day as Kanye’s Graduation and 50 vowed to SOHH that he would retire if ‘Ye outsold him in first week sales. Kanye wound up winning the battle, selling a whopping 957,000 units to 50 Cent’s 691,000. Ye’s first single off the new project, “Love Lockdown,” currently holds the number 1 spot on iTunes’ top songs list.

MAYBE HE FOUND OUT DRE IS DROPPING IN DECEMBER AND WANTS TO DO DECENT NUMBERS!

Brass Nuckles Album Review

So it has been a long time since we heard a record from Nelly, and many people are wondering if he still has it. Nell has never been the most lyrical or an envelpoe pusher but has a consistent track record of making hits. Looking at the radioplay and buzz his new singles have gotten i would say that he pretty much lost it. No one is checkin for Nelly anymore, unless it is to look at his abs which will make anyone jealous. The album isn;t horrible, but its not great typical nelly with way more features than necessary. !3 of the 14 songs feature someone which is way too many. has some solid likeable tracks and some bad one. The first week numbers will let us know if i am right, so we gotta wait til wednesday but i already know whats going to happen

Paper Trail Album Review

So with the recent leak of T.I.'s latest album "Paper Trail" i have had a chance to listen to the album and give yall a review. I was quite dissapointed with his last album, but from the singles i had heard from this album seemed pretty good. At first i was worried, like the louie bag song was garbage and i wasn't really feeling the "swing ya rag" record, but Swagga Like Us and Whatever you like were dope. With that being said im gonna hit yall with a track by track review

1. 56 bars- is the intro its cool, nothing special or mind blowing, could actually do without.

2.I'm Illy- this should have been the intro track, it has a dope beat and T.I. goes hard on it with lines like "rarely out my element/ barely out the ghetto with/ one foot in and one foot out intiligent as felons get/.

3.Ready For Whatever is a highlight track, which talks about his recent gun trial and addresses that situation.

4.On top of the world feat. ludacris & B.O.B.-Is a celebratory track which is exciting because i remember the time that T.I. and Luda were sparring lyrically with each other and now they are working with each other.

5.Live Your Life feat. Rihanna- Great song, catchy hook and a overall good record.

6.Whatever You Like- Another great song, obviously the first single.

7.No Matter What- Another track that addresses his weapons charges, but with a more solemn and apologetic tone to it. A great song with a great message.

8.My Life, Your Entertainment feat. Usher-A song which pretty much finds t.i. complaining about being famous. not a bad record

9.Porn Star-By the title, one should be able to tell what this song is about. has a strange beat but its pretty good.

10.Swing ya Rag Feat. Swizz Beatz- I hate swizz i think he is a waste of life and shouldnt be allowed to ever do a chorus ever again. Its a mediocre song.

11.Whats up, Whats Haapnin-aight song, dont care for it much.

12.Every Chance i Get- good record, the typical ill take your girl and ball harder than you, so if you like that its a good record.

13.Swagga Like Us Feat. Jay, Kanye & Weezy- The Highlight of the album, the crazy posse cut which has the hottest rappers in the game all on the same track, which was done by the louie vuitton don himself. HOT!

14.Slideshow Feat. John Legend- Another Kanye Production, a girl record, good song tho

15.You Ain't Missing Nothing- A song to a friend that passed, good record

16. Dead and Gone Feat. Justin Timberlake- Im still digesting this record, but im gonna bank on this being one of the best records on this album.

Overall i think the album is great other than a few skippable tracks, not a classic, but pretty close. i give it XXXX1/2 out of XXXXX

"Neva have ya seen in ya lifetime/ A more devine southern rapper wit a swag like mine/
Facin all kind of time/ But smile like im fine/"-T.I.

Amy!!!

So here at fountainebleu there is this girl, and she has a manly voice. I think she has that voice because she stays lit up more than a chimney during winter in Russia, but anyways. She has a deep voice, like a real manly voice, so much so that we identify her as man voice, lol. Haha, alright the point of this post isn't to rag on one of the residents here at FB, but i said because, it was her voice that got me to do this post. Her man voice reminded me of Amy Winehouse, if you don't know who Amy is you have probably been sleeping under a rock somewhere in Afganistan with Osama hiding weapons of mass destruction. But back to Amy, i love her cd, like literally love it, i think it was one of the best cds to come out in 2007. Her cd is pretty much a breakup record, but it is perfect. they could have not made a better record.

with that being said, someone needs to rescue Amy from herself, she recently backed out of a island getaway her record company set up for her, to get her away from her comfort zone and get her working on her new cd, but she backed out of it last minute.

"He walks away,  The sun goes down,
He takes the day but I'm grown,
And in this grey, in this blue shade

Lil Weeziana

Cash Money/Universal announced a new multi-album deal with their flagship artist Lil Wayne. While terms were not announced, the deal is Wayne's second since 2005, after the rapper was rumored to be leaving Cash Money for Def Jam. The 2005 deal netted Wayne his own Young Money imprint, and a position as Cash Money's president, which he later stepped down from. Lil Wayne has been with the label in some capacity since 1995, when he appeared on the B.G.'z album True Story. According to Nielsen Soundscan, Wayne's latest effort, Tha Carter III, has sold just under 2.5 million copies since being released on May 13.

MTV News reports DJ Drama and Lil Wayne are working on the latest installment of their "Dedication" series of mixtapes.

"Me and DJ Drama are going back at it," says Wayne. "I'm showcasing my whole clique — the Young Money family. And three months after that, I got 30 more [songs], and we're gonna give them away for free —as I always do—on my Web site."

Sarah Palin

One of my friends posted this and i thought it was interesting, she does certain things i agree with but for the most part, i dont agree with it.

Im not saying that these are all 100% correct. i havent had the time to fact check, but if half of these are true then god help us all if Mccain is president and he dies.

Sarah Palin's resume on being able to run a government that represents over 300 million people:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism (with a minor in political science) from the University of Idaho. A Journalism degree is not particularly relevant nor beneficial for a president. Dick Cheney even received a masters degree and started a doctoral degree. She would be the first president since Herbert Hoover (who even went to stanford) to have an irrelevant degree. All presidents since then have had degrees (except truman who went to law school for 2 years but had 35 years gov't experience) related to the military, business, law and politics. Since 1897, only two presidents have had degrees not related to being an administrator in some way. Those presidents only served one term and are considered unsuccessful by historians.

- Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996, then mayor 1996 – 2002. As mayor of Wasilia, Palin built - as her legacy - a $15 million multi-use indoor ice arena on land that did not belong to the city. It will cost Wasilla at least an additional $1.67 million to acquire the land which the town is attempting to pay for by cutting library services, postponing capital improvement projects, and raising fees. Most cities under 10K don't have such expensive facilities. This put her town into debt. This is against the GOP platform against wasteful spending and throwing the gov't into debt.

- Threatened a lawsuit to stop the listing of polar bears on the endangered species list, fearing that it would hurt oil and gas development in the bears' habitat off Alaska's northern and northwestern coasts. She has also been a vocal critic of scientists who suggest that climate change is leading to the decrease in polar bears in Alaska.

- Is responsible for approving a $400,000 state-funded propaganda campaign to justify Alaska's barbaric wolf slaughter from the skies.

- Her Husband works for BP energy corporation at an oil field on Alaska's North Slope (families ties to oil company)

- Zero Foreign policy experience, if you exclude her negotiating with foreign energy companies to exploit American resources. She is considered the leader of the Alaskan national guard but this is largely symbolic since she does not have authority to send the national guard into war. Biden, Obama, Cheney and McCain have all worked on legislation on national foreign policy. There are 17 border states, just because you're a governor of a border state doesn't mean you have national foreign policy experience.

- Does not know what the V.P. actually does. “As for that V.P. talk all the time,” she told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow in late July, “I tell ya, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me: What is it exactly that the V.P. does every day?"

- She has a total of a little under 2 years in state government. In comparison, Sen. Obama has 7 years of experience in state government and 3 years in federal government.

- She has less experience (beyond the local level) in government than Obama, McCain, and Biden.****** If she assumes the presidency within McCain's first term, she would assume office with less experience beyond the local level in the government than ANY OTHER PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY of the United States.*******

- Palin has said she is "as pro-life as any candidate can be" and called abortion "an atrocity." She has supported mandatory parental consent, and while she is pro-contraception, has also indicated her preference for abstinence education over "sex-ed programs." She would permit abortion in cases where the mother's life was endangered, but not in the case of rape or incest.
****** Important Note: There is nothing wrong with being pro-life. Palin is not only pro-life, but also ANTI-choice.

- Palin recently said that the war in Iraq is "God's task." She's even admitted she hasn't thought about the war much—just last year she was quoted saying, "I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."

- In August 2008, according to an interview she claimed to have had no idea what the Bush administration's plans were for Iraq and defended her stance stating it has nothing to do with state affairs, even though Alaska has a large military base.

- Supports Death Penalty

- Supports unrestricted right to keep and bear arms and is a member of the National Rifle Association. Palin says, "I am a lifetime member of the NRA and I support our Constitutional right to bear arms." In 2004 in the U.S., 1804 children and teenagers were murdered in gun homicides, 846 committed suicide with guns and 143 died in unintentional shootings.

- Is a member of Feminists for Life; she backs capital punishment, and opposes same-sex marriage.

- Supported Alaska's decision to amend its Constitution to ban same-sex marriage and would support a ballot question to deny benefits to homosexual couples.

- In July of 2008, Palin became the subject of a state ethics investigation for abuse of power in Alaska: in late July, Alaska's state legislature voted to hire an independent investigator to find out whether she tried to have a state official fire her ex-brother-in-law from his job as a state trooper. She has also refused to call for the resignation of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens despite his indictment for allegedly hiding gifts received from an oil firm.

- Although Palin is aware of a climate change, she fails to recognize that we, as gas-guzzling humans, have played a large part in it. She is not interested in alternative energy choices. She's interested in drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge.

- Palin said in a 2006 debate that she supports teaching creationism alongside evolution in public schools on the grounds that "healthy debate is so important." In the same debate, she said she believed in a creator and avoided an up-or-down stance on evolution.

- Palin never left the country before July 2007 when she needed to first obtain a passport before visiting Alaskan National Guard troops stationed in Kuwait.

- As mayor, former city officials and Wasilla residents
said that Palin approached the town librarian about the possibility of banning some books, though she never followed through and it was unclear which books or passages were in question.

- Six months ago, Palin told members of the fringe Alaska Independence Party—who advocate for a vote on secession from the union—to "keep up the good work" and "wished the party luck on what she called its 'inspiring convention.'"

- As mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Palin enforced a policy of charging rape victims for their own rape examinations: an exam that costs $1200.

BMF

i want to say sorry for the lack of post this weekend, i went back home along with Baby-D, and we spending time with the fam and catching up, but i figured ill hit yall with a lil something.

I stole this from another website cuz i didn't feel like typing it out.

Brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory were sentenced yesterday (September 12) to 30 years in prison, for running the cocaine organization known as The Black Mafia Family.

Demetrius and Terry were apprehended in 2005 and indicted under the CCE (Continuing Criminal Enterprise) law, which like RICO charges carry life sentences.

Under the federal prison system, there is no parole option.

Seeking to avoid spending the rest of their natural lives in prison, the brothers pleaded guilty in November 2007 to the CCE charges and laundering drug money in hopes of serving the minimum 20 year sentence.

However, evidence presented by prosecutors resulted in 30 year sentences for both men. BMF was founded by the brothers in Detroit during the late 1980s.

After quickly securing valuable contacts with international coke suppliers, the organization grew to a nationwide criminal conspiracy within a few years.

The group began to draw unwanted attention from federal agents in 2003 once they established a high-profile operation in Atlanta, where they erected billboards, held lavish parties, created DVDs, and boasted of their connections with rappers Young Jeezy and Fabolous.

Also notable in the organization’s downfall was Meech’s involvement in a brazen 2003 shootout in the Buckhead nightclub section of Atlanta that left two men dead, including Sean “Diddy” Combs’ bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones.

In 2005, agents raided several key BMF operations in Georgia, Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and California.

To date, those raids have resulted in over 150 indictments of BMF members or associates, effectively dismantling the drug empire.

According to authorities, these convictions of BMF’s top members end a 15 year investigation into the Black Mafia Family’s criminal enterprise.

At their peak, Demetrius (age 40) and Terry (age 38) Flenory are estimated to have controlled a cocaine empire worth $270 million.

Love Lockdown

I'm feeling this song so much i decided to post the lyrics..
and a link to the supposed final studio version, but i dont think its the final version it sounds like a demo version that needs to be mixed..well here enjoi: Kanye West- Love Lockdown Final Version

I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to
What I had to do, had to run from you
I'm in love with you, but the vibe is wrong
And that haunted me, all the way home
So ya never know, never never know
Never know enough, 'til it's over love
'Til we lose control, system overload
Screamin' no no no, no no
I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to
See I wanna move, but can't escape from you
So I keep it low, keep a secret code
So everybody else don't have to know

So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
You keep ya love locked down, you lose

I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to
I can't keep my cool, so I keep it true
I got somethin to lose, so I gotta move
I can't keep myself, and still keep you too
So I keep in mind, when I'm on my own
Somewhere far from home, in the danger zone
How many times did I take 'til I finally got through
you lose, you lose
I'm not lovin you, the way I wanted to
See I had to go, see I had to move
No more wastin' time, you can't wait for life
which is wastin' time, where's the finish line

So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
You keep ya love locked down, you lose

I'm not lovin you, the way I wanted to
I met no one new, I got no one new
I know I said I'm through, but got love for you
But I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to
Gotta keep it goin', keep the lovin' goin'
Keep it on a roll, only God knows
If I be with you, baby I'm confused
You choose, you choose
I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to
Where I want to go, I don't need you
I've been down this road, too many times before
I'm not lovin' you, the way I wanted to

So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
Keepin ya love locked down, ya love locked down
Keepin ya love locked down, ya love locked down
Keepin ya love locked down, you lose
So keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
Keepin ya love locked down, ya love locked down
If you keep ya love locked down, ya love locked down
Keepin ya love locked down, you lose

It's Gonna Be a Cold WInter

So with the debut of the new Kanye song and a lot of other recent music news that has slowly leaked out, i have to say that i am very excited about the coming months, as far as hip hop music is concerned. Ill give a list of the reasons that i am excited about why im excited and why you should be to, this isn't in any order

1. Ludacris- Theater of the mind- Luda's new album is droppin at the end of October and could be one of his best works yet,
Luda called the album a collection of his experiences up to this point, Ludacris promises that "Theater" will be film-worthy. "Expect the whole album [to be] theatrical," he says.

2.T.I.- Paper Trail- Tip's new album is dropping on Sept 30 and from the current singles i am loving what i hear whether it's the ladies song  with "whatever you like" ">which we made a video of
the mega single "swagger like us" and the single with rihanna.

3.Busta Rhymes-Blessed- His new album has been currently pushed back but it should be released before the years end, and if it's anything like his last i cant wait to hear it.

4. Jay-Z- The Blueprint 3- Jocking Jay-Z(probably the first single) has already leaked and if the album is like the single, it will be incredible

5.Kanye West- 808's & Heartbreak- Having just performed his first single on the VMA's last night, the Louie Vuitton Don is gearing up for a December release, likely competing with his "big brother"

6.Dr. Dre-Detox- Dre is finally supposed to drop his Magnum Opus before year's end, let's hope it happens. Also r.i.p his son..

7.50 Cent-Before I Self Destruct- 50's last album for Interscope is supposed to drop before the end of 08 and he has said that he is going to reinvent the wheel with this album, lets see if that happens.

8. Murs- Murs For President- Murs major label debut is coming out soon

9.Jadakiss-Kiss My A**- J to the muah will be releasing his 3rd album around Halloween and it will be his Def Jam, Roc-a-fell, Ruff Ryders, Etc, Debut. It should be very promising

10.Young Jeezy-The Recession-Drops in a couple weeks and is fire, just like jeezy always is, not very lyrical but the beats bang and he says some good stuff.

Honorable Mentions:
Gym Class Heroes  who i am a big fan of are dropping their album next week, also Travie from Gym Class will be dropping a solo mixtape soon, ive heard one of the songs off of it and it was awesome

This is it for now..i feel like im missing something, but ill edit the post if i remember..

The Battle Within

The Battle Within is concealed
But its revealed by actions
Cuz your actions are the reflections of your intentions
So do I need to mention that life has consequences
If you remain in the game there is no one left to blame but yourself
If your eye causes you to sin then rip it out
Its better to be blind then livin a life of strife
Having your conscience calling you, stalking you
Everything you do, watching you
Make your own decisions
Take each step with precise precision
Incision in your vision, operation of your foundation
Whats your motivation?
Are you more concerned with the success you earn?
You waste your fate on the paper chase
Facing off like Nicolas Cage, Stuck in the ridiculous maze
The only way to break out of the darkness
Is to embark on a new quest
The test to stay rightous
Aiming to be perfect
Now is it truly worth it to gain the world but to forfeit your very soul?
Are you being controlled by your peers cuz you fear rejection?
Stop stressing expression and grab your double edge sword and start the correction
Because whenever, wherever
The wisdom of God is more valuable then treasure
The Battle Within

BBQ

So today we had a bbq here at FB and yours truly DJ'd along with Baby-D, so we are bumping the jams while people are eating burgers and hot dogs and this wack dude in line starts complaining that the song i was playing is to long and too repetitive. I was playing swagger like us, which is pretty much gonna be the biggest hip hop record to come out this year, It has Kanye, Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne and T.I...which is just amazing in itself. The thing that was more amazing to me was the complaining people were doing. Whether it was the music or not having enough variety in condiments for their burgers. I was getting really frustrated with these little brats attitudes and ungratefulness. We didn't have to do this for them. We didn't have to haull down our macs and speakers and connect everything up so they could complain..Anyways holla if you hear me. other than that it was a great day..k..bouncing out..

Instant Replay in Baseball?

Instant replay in football became popular not too long ago. First in the NFL where coaches are allowed to now challenge plays twice a game before the 2 minute mark at the end of each half. The coach is rewarded another challenge if he gets both right, but for each one that he gets wrong the team is penalized with a timeout. Then it was passed down to the NFL's free minor league which we know as college football. Replay rules depend on the conference and referees of the game. Then next sport that I caught using a sort of replay was tennis where the player can call an electronic simulation of where the ball landed on the court. Earlier this year though someone hit the ball as they called for the replay and they were not awarded the replay due to continuation of play from the player. Now were late in the 2008 baseball season and we see it again. The first use of instant replay in Major League Baseball. It took place in a game where the Tampa Bay Devil Rays hosted the New York Yankees. Alex Rodriguez hit what looked like a home run to let field. The ball sails high in the lights and hits the net like part of the foul pole. The umpires of the game talk about it and review and make the right call and Rodriguez is awarded the home run. A lot of people are talking that the replay is taking away from the game. So many games in the past have been affected by a bad call from an umpire. Whats to happen to all of those games? Why have umpires all together now? What will the extent of detail of the replay be? Will it be used for every strike called a ball and vice versa? Is a win really a win if the wrong call was made? I believe that it isnt a bad idea. It can help the game in many ways. It has done wonders for the NFL and tennis. Although it can elongate already long baseball games, I much rather have a game called fairly then not any day of the week. I know that Rodriguez likes the idea after earlier this year Rodriguez was robbed of a home run because of a bad call from an umpire. The ball bounced back into the field after hitting the foul pole and the top of the wall. Instant replay will definitely will make a difference and will better the game. No more bad calls and contreversy.

Comment Response on the Future of Hip Hop

3K: What do you think is the future of West Coast Hip Hop? is Game killin it? (like destroying it) or did he lay a foundation for the rebirth? Does the West need someone else to build on what Game is tryin to do and that's tryin to put the West back on the map? Does the South now have a death grip on hip hop? Get at me gangstas

holdin it down from California to Ohio
A R...

Ahhh..good question young sir, I do not think Game is bad for the west coast but, this is supposedly his last album and I think the impact that he is making in hip hop has already been felt and is pretty much finished. I think that Westcoast hip hop will continue to suffer until the West  Coast steps up its game and stops putting out all the same crap. That is why people like Glasses Malone and Spider Loc aren't catching on, cuz niggas from the 90's have been doing the same thing and doing it better. I think the future of westcoast hip hop lies in people like Blu if he can get decent promotion. (he has one of the best hip hop albums i heard) and Bishop Lamont. As far as the south having a death grip(not sure if you mean in a bad way, like they are killing it) but i think that music from all places has been sucking and it isn't the south's fault. Its all the fans who buy this crap up, but i do have love for southern artist, like weezy, T.I., outkast, and my current favorite is Killer Mike. His new album is incredible, you should get it. anyways i hope this answers your questions, keep em coming if you got more

The Future of Hip Hop

So Hip-Hop as of late has been sucking tremendously, like Karrine Stephans, lol. Anyways i had almost lost hope in it until i recently was introduced to the future of hip hop. Now, its not just one person that will save hip hop from the slump it is in but i think that a trinity of incredible artist definitely could do it. With that being said i am proud to introduce the future of hip hop, thank me later!

1. Wale (pronounced wah-lay)
Signed with mark ronson's Allido records which is home to other lyricist Rhymefest, he is also the producer of Amy Winehouse and Lilly Allen. All you have to do is listen to wale and you can hear his love for the music that he is creating.

Return of a legitimate white rapper. Eminem made it hard to be a white rapper because he is arguably one of the top 5 best rappers in the world, but if any white rapper can make it, its Asher. Asher is a lyrical beast and his music contains much different content than Eminem's music does. The only similarities are that they are both white, voices sound alike and they are great lyricist. He signed to Steve Rifklins SRC records which has been home to xzibit, wu tang clan, etc
Here is his song i love college, which is getting heavy spins on my ipod

My Late Night Shift

So the other night im chilling, working the usual 12-8am shift here at my place of employment, and the usual drunken kids come stumbling in around 1 or so and keep coming til usually 3 though i have seen them show up at 5 or 6. Anyways that is besides the point, the point is this girl comes in with her friends and she is talking to me and tells me that she loves me and that she wishes me the greatest night of sleep and that i dream of horsies, donkeys, sea horses and monkeys. Which had me bursting out in laughter. Then the next day she comes in with her friend, whose name i can't recall, but her friend introduces herself to me and we are chatting it up, when the same drunk girl from the night before, who i think was fuming with jealousy that i her friend introduced herself to me yells, "MY NAME IS SHAQUIDA!!". I was rolling..like this girl is at white as the driven snow and yelled that her name was shaquida. So i told her she was drunk and needed to go up to her room..man this job is definitely interesting.. peace

The Recession

Jeezy's Back!!..I'm not going to lie, i'm a huge fan of jeezy, he is not a lyrical beast, or a great song writer, but the man has the best ad libs in the game and his charisma and swagger fly through the roof. With that being said i will try to be as impartial in my review of his new cd "The Recession".
I would do a track by track but anyone who listens to Jeezy should know what to expect, so what i am going to do is just list off the three best and worst tracks from the cd.
Best

1.Vacation- This by far has to be my favorite track of the cd, the beat is ill..and the song just bumps, classic Jeezy

2.My President feat. Nas- My president is black, my lambo's blue and ill be g-damned if y rims aren't too" is the juxaposition that jeezy is speaking of on this track. Most of his songs have to do with materialism but he mixes that with a political message which anyone can respect. Nas kills it on his verse

3.Crazy World- Another political sounding song, he speaks heavily on the recession that is occuring in the country and how it is affecting the working class people and he even talks about how it effects him. He speaks some crazy lines like "thats really unheard of when you get more time for selling dope than murder"

Worst

1.Who Dat- Nothing necessarily wrong with the song, just dont car for it

2.Don't You Know- The beat is kinda bland and doesnt inspire me like Jeezy's music is supposed to

3.Takin it there feat. trey songz- the mandatory chick song on every commercial cd, dont care for it

overall i love the cd, not as good production wise as his last two outings, but lyrically he stepped up a little, and i am digging the social commentary. XXXX out of XXXXX

Q's Downtown Santa Barbara

As a community assistant I am responsible for putting on events for the residents so they feel like home and have fun. Last year we went to a place called Q's Billairds. Its a small 3 story club in downtown Santa Barbara. Its 18 and over only on wednesday nights. So thats the day that we'll have to book it for all the residents. My boss keeps asking me when are we going to Q's since she loved it last year and I made her go on the dance floor. I decided to roll down there tonight and talk to the manager or owner to see what kind of group discount rate we can get since we got like 300 students and like 295 of them are 18. I walked up and asked the bouncer what was the discount rate or how do I go about talking to management about it. He responded in a sarcastic voice that there is no such thing as discount rate. I told him that last year we did and it went really well for both parties. He just then stated that I have to talk to the owner during the day time. Why couldn't he tell me that in the beginning when I asked? I understand that its a club and bouncers have to be serious but customer service is customer service. The club scene in Santa Barbara is not even that serious. No body gets patted down. No purses or bags get checked. ID's are not ran under a black light. The biggest bouncers stay outside and watch the door. All the bouncers inside blend in with the crowd and if there were a fight all 25 of them would have to jump in to bring people out. If there was a big enough group those bouncers would get rocked too. But because Q's has the bigger dance floor and more bars than any other 18 and over spot, Im still gonna have to give them props for having best of worst 18 and over clubs in Santa Barbara. With the third floor being 21 and over and about 8 billaird tables, second floor a VIP section and another bar, and the first floor with the biggest bar in the building and DJ playing music that is under par for the dance floor Q's claims reign for the 18 and over bars/clubs in downtown Santa Barbara. Ill have to find out how to get to that owner to see whats up with the rates.

L.A.X. (Los Angeles Times) Review

So there is alot of hype surrounding this new Game album and you have stans calling it a "Classic" and Haters saying it is hot garbage. Well, i am here to give an unbiased track by track analysis about Game's supposed Magnum Opus. Let's get things started with the first track

1. Intro feat. DMX- I am all for prayer and loving Jesus, but when you got Earl Simmons (aka Mr. I've been arrested upwards 6 times this year) opening an album that is full of numerous gun, violence, and sex references. i find it a bit ironic, but whatever..a waste of a minute and a half in my opinion

2.LAX Files- good song, nice piano driven beat, nothing extravagant about the song though

3.State of Emergency Feat. Ice Cube- Pretty Good song, good use of an Ice cube hook

4. Bulletproof Diaries Feat. Raekwon- One of the standout tracks by far, driven with a menacing beat that makes you want to beat someone up. Game trades bars with the chef but comes up short,  not saying he does a bad job, but Game isn't up to par with Raekwon's type of lyricism.

5. My life Feat. Weezy- Another standout, weezy kills the hook and after his numerous features
i'm glad that he is limited to the hook, because that all that was needed.

6.Money- Produced by Cool and Dre and poised to be the next single. i believe it uses the same song that they sampled on the rick ross' "push it to the limit". It gets a little redundant but it is a strong track nonetheless.

7.Cali Sunshine-Has a nice beat, pretty good hook and is pretty much game talking about how hard cali is like he do on every record. He talks about Delishis, making it rain, 64's and palm trees.etc

8.Ya Heard feat. Ludacris- Producer Nottz uses a sample from the ever popular 80's rap song, Jam on it by Newcleus but it ends up sounding kind of awkward, Luda's verse is nice though.

9.Hard Liqour Interlude- waste of time

10.House of Pains- has a kind of cool beat, pretty good song. Grows on you, not a big fan of the hook though..

11.Gentleman's Affair feat. Ne-Yo- is the usual ladies song that is included in most commercial hip hop songs..its whatever, the ladies will probably like it

12.Let Us Live Feat. Chrissette Michelle- One of the best beats Scott Storch has made in a while, one of the best songs on the cd, i love Chrissete on the hook.

13.Touchdown feat. raheem devaughn-Another girl song, but much better executed than the one with ne-yo. i like this record

14.Angel Feat. Common-The song feels alot different then the rest of the records on this album but its a welcomed departure. Common kills the song and Kanye provides a great canvas for them to paint on

15.Never can say goodbye- its a great track, game raps like pac, biggie and and eazy e in their final thoughts.

16.Dope Boys- Awesome track the beat is ridiculous, one thing i do gotta recommend is Killer Mike's Fleece Johnsoning of this track. He goes way harder than Game's version.

17.Game's Pain Feat. Keyshia Cole- Wack

18.Letter to the king feat. Nas- is a track that is a letter to martin luther king.. it is a real good song, real laid back vibe. The song got a good message.

19.Outro feat. DMX- Earl going off again, good message but DMX needs to get his act together.

The cd is XXXX out of XXXXX, 4 out of 5 x's not better than the Documentary but far better than Doctor's Advocate

Roadblock or True contender?

This Saturday will answer the question whether or not Chuck Liddell is still a Formidable opponent. A lot of critics believe that he is a fighter of the past and that his time on the throne at UFC is long gone. Rashad "Sugar" Evans will face liddell this saturday in UFC 88 "Breakthrough." Evans comes into this card with an undefeated record of 10-0-1 while Liddell faces him with a much larger resume of 21-5-0 to say that the ICE MAN is just a road block to Evans victory is very controversial seeing that he is still a newer fighter but people say what you want it is your right. I on the other hand am going that Chuck is still a true contender in the world of Mix Martial Arts and will prove it on saturday. I must say that the fight will be a grueling competition between two TITANS and that no one fan will leave without a sense of how the gladiators of late Rome once engaged in glorious battle to maintain there livelihood. Before I go I have to give it up to "THE PIT" and John Hackleman for I am "Ohana" (thepit.tv). His great facilities in Arroyo are amazing and the trainings even better. Hawaiian Kempo for life. If your a fan or not make sure you tune into the payperview event, I promise you will enjoy

LAX flies to mete-ocher land

Games New Album LAX in its first week sold a total 238,000 copies. Compared to LIL waynes opening with over a million and Kanye coming in at a close second with 970,00 LAX can be categorized as under the shadow of these two behemoths. With that, I feel that the numbers do not give justice to some of the tracks. Songs such as "Dope Boys" and "My life" are truly songs that stick out and will soon be bumping on everyones stereos. Check out the album and see what you think overall. It is relatively good.

Exploding Bathrooms

So im sitting here at the front desk watching Entourage which is an amazing show by the way, i recommend that everyone watches it everyday of there life. Anyways these two girls roll up in their pajamas talking about how their toilet is exploding and shooting water everywhere. I didn't think it was that bad because of how calmly they stated those facts, so Me and Baby-D roll over to the room and water is shooting everywhere, it was really making it rain in a way Pacman Jones could never do without being jailed for a very long time. Anyways Baby-D hops into action and saved the day and rescued the girls from the Niagra Falls popping off in their room. When he came out it looked like he just finished a wet t-shirt contest in Cancun. What a night..now back to Entourage

To our readers that were under the impression that I lost to KKK, understand that the game was obviously thrown by the refs. What happened to the days when the integrity of the game was of greatest importance? With that I leave everyone with this. "I am impersonated, never duplicated, wohh you. I will Always be 'THE ONE!'"

Rock, Paper, Scissors

So we got a situation here. Madden 09 is in our life. So Ill be the first to admit, Baby-D molly wopped on me. I got destroyed. So he got a little big headed and Kinda Kool Kid had to humble him down and Fleece Johnson him a little bit. Then I decided to play Kinda Kool Kid and despite him rewinding an interception ran back for a touchdown, aka pik six, then running the same play and scoring a touchdown on me, still got the W. So now all 3 of us have a 1-1 record. I lost to Baby-D, who lost to Kinda Kool Kid, who lost to NeeZy. Rock, Paper, Scissors. The battle continues. Soon the reigning champ will rise.

50 Cent trying to squash beef

So for anyone who follows hip hop news has probably realized that 50 cent's reign on the top doesnt really exist anymore. Though his reign financially isn't over, him being the highest selling artist in the current state of hip hop is, Terminate on Sight sold about 180 thou since it has been out, can you say FLOP! so now he is scrambling to patch things up with the people he has alienated on his rise to the top. First it was DJ Green Lantern, then it was Lil Kim and now Jadakiss. While i am a big fan of Jadakiss' body of work, i don't see this whole thing with 50 being a good look for him. but i could just be a hater. I think he is going to try to make nice with Fat Joe next....Anyways im out for brunch

Genesis

So I guess this is the first official blog entry for this blog. I have blogged a few times before on Myspace and i even had another blog that i started but it never got much attention so i had abandoned the idea of blogging fot a little while. My recent transplant from the I.E. to I.V. has inspired me to hop back on the blogging tip (no homo). So now I'm sitting at my work desk at four in the morning, talking to the drunk girls coming in, which is typical of any night of the week here in Isla Vista. Anyways..the topics of this blog are going vary from news, hip hop, our adventures in santa barbara, clothes, music, love, God, anything and everything.

Well that is all for now.
Goodnight To All
